Service Alert – August 21, 2017

On August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will cross the United States. While all of the continental U.S. will have a significant view of the eclipse, the states in in the "path of totality" (or where the track of the moon will completely block out the sun) are expected to experience unprecedented numbers of visitors. Because areas within those states will be closed or blocked off, the immediate and surrounding areas may experience delays in UPS service.

The states in the path of totality and most likely to be impacted are Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

As a reminder the UPS Service Guarantee does not apply to shipments that are delayed due to events that are beyond the control of UPS.
